Newbie gym goer?

Hi all, I'm a 16 year old girl who is planning on stepping into a gym for the first time tomorrow and just have a few rather basic questions before going!

    1. Should I wear what I intend to work out in to the gym? Or would I bring them and change there as I also want to go swimming?
    2. What should I wear to work out? Would simple tracksuit bottoms and a tank top suffice? i.e. no specialist gear or anything?!
    3. I used to exercise around 6 times a week (horse riding mostly) and was extremely fit, but gave that up about 18 months ago due to time constraints. Since then I've done little or no exercise and would love to get as fit/toned as I was back then. I'm very happy with my body and my weight, I just want to be fitter/healthier and possibly tone a couple areas (mostly upper thighs and stomach). Do you have any suggestions as to a fitness programme which I can start off with? All I know how to really use is a treadmill  So any help is grateful!
    4. How many times a week should I go and for how long? I'm trying to make time atm to make sure I fit in as many sessions as I need, but I don't know how many that is?! So any suggestions for that is helpful too.
    5. Lastly has anyone here been to or used the gym at the Marriot? I think that's where I'm going so any feedback is greatly appreciated :o

Sorry for the rather boring questions, I just want to make sure I don't make a complete fool of myself! Thanks to anyone who provides any help whatsoever :P

You'll be given ample help by the gym instructors, they'll do a programme for you and you can discuss that with boardies here if you want another opinion.

I'd wear whatever is comfortable. Tracksuit bottoms and t-shirt is perfect. You can shower/change before you go home so yeah, wear your gym gear to the gym. Good luck with it.
