Hi, just wondering if anyone has any info on an iphone 32gb 3gs (factory unlocked) advertisement that I found on www.add.ie -

So, noticed a company (MobileLink Ltd) supposedly selling the above iphones as new for 350euro and dropped them an email, they replied within a few hours stating that its a legitimate sale and not a Chinese replica etc etc boxed and in proper working order - they accept payment by paypal/Western Union Money Transfer/Money Gram and proved a serial number to track postage by fedex

    Here's the link: http://www.add.ie/apple_3gs_32gb_iphone_unlocked-o49720-en.html

And here's their official website: http://mobilelinkltd.9hz.com/

Seems to good to be true IMO, does anyone know of any scams or have any info on this - I'm tempted but what can I do to ensure it's not a con? I googled the name/phone number and they appear to have many advertisements across the web...

Thanks in advance for any advice folks!

    J

I'd bet they're either scams or fakes. No-one in the world is going to sell a 32gb iPhone for €300. http://www.add.ie/selling_apple_iphone_3gs_32gb-o50533-en.html this guys claims he's in "Ard Na Greine, Dublin", where ever that's meant to be but can only be contacted on a UK mobile phone. Steer well clear.

Yeah, seems a bit dodge to me alright - I'm thinking it's some cheap replica from Taiwan or somewhere like that. Got me thinking tho.... I've asked for further details and requested the serial number so I can check the warranty from the Apple website - we'll see how that pans out :)

    Here's the latest reply I got -

Thanks for your response, well below you would find the order summary for one unit.

    One(1) unit of Apple 3gs 32gb Iphone :$350
    Shipping and handling :$30
    Total cost :$380

I am sorry i wont be able to send the serial number because that would mean i would need to open the packaged and that's not company principle. If you look at our company's website ,our paypal service is presently down and we cant accept paypal means of payment for now however there are other means of payment.

    Moneygram.
    Westernunion.

    Company Credit report details
    ***************************
    incorporation number :06369314
    Company name: Mobile link ltd
    http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk

that's our company information so show to you that we are genuine , so sir kindly get back to me with your full shipping information so that it can be tagged to your order and set for shippment until payment has been made.

If you want to proceed kindly get back to me with your shipping address and phone number .

Check out the "Company staffs" on the left hand side of their website http://mobilelinkltd.9hz.com/ - it's priceless

Firstly the "secretary" looks very happy with himself
Then their "sales centre" - looks nothing like a sales centre, and there's nobody taking calls?!?!

The packaging dept - looks pretty impressive. You would think with a packaging dept that size, they could have pumped more money into their website - or even registered their own domain name at least - or failing that used some money to fix their "paypal system"

And Nokia must have invested lots in their store judging by the last photo.
