    nearest one is alsaa as far as i know, thats were i use to go from balbriggan (was living there until recently)

    is it open to public use? and is there a full proper laid track there? been a few years since i was up there

    Not sure about whether open to public or not but Star of the Sea train there on occasion. Contact them or College directly to find out.

    As for surface, its probably the same as when you were last there, gravel track.

    Alsaa is not far either. Once you are not going for a shower nobody is really going to ask for membership etc.
