    hey
just got a letter in the post, its a membership application to the ACS
i was wondering if any chemists out there are a member of this?
if so is it worth it?
i was kind of thinking that might be good only if your in america but I'm not sure

Well, I'm not a member of the ACS, but I am a member of the APS and ACM. Although there is particular focus on the US, and that will be the location for their meetings, there are generally a lot of international members. The benefits of membership tend not to depend very strongly on where you live.
