    Hi Folks,

We are planning to build a single storey extension (c. 47 sq metres) and some internal work to our house. We were wondering about how much per sq ft we should budget for for (a) builders finish and (b) turnkey finished.

    All info gratefully accepted !

    Thanks in advance

    Buster,

You'd need to provide some idea of what you plan on having in the extension... Is it a sitting room with no fittings in it or is it a new kitchen?

there are hundreds of things that will affect the cost of your extension and other works to your house but you can always use the €100 per square foot rough rule of thumb. In that case, you'd be looking at a cost of at least €50,000 for whatever you have planned.

I'd suggest you get a complete plan for what you wish to do and get it priced by a couple of local contractors.
