Just wondering how many people here suffer from really bad sunday blues. Im talking spending the evening miserable dreading the week ahead. I was gonna actually post this in PI, but I dont think its enough of a PI to be worthy of it.

Im just wondering is it normal to be completely dreading work, I hate it in there, but the idea of it is always worse than actually being in there.

Any tips for getting over sunday evening blues?

Should I wallow in my own sorryness or should I do something to keep the mind occupied. I feel like I dont want to do anything cause its sunday evening.

    I have tomorrow off :D:D:D:D

Seriously? Take it one day at a time. This time tomorrow you'll be 20% through your week.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Have a bath and chill out. Then strut across your living room naked a couple times :D :pac:

I always get it around this time every Sunday. Just dawns at me that I've got fcuking college all week and early starts all week.

Still at least 24 is on later on to cheer me up a little bit.

Put your robe on, we can see you from the road:eek:

Simple answer: get drunk, come into work hungover, get fired and then everyday will be like a Saturday.

Here's a thought OP, would you prefer having something you don't like to do than nothing to do at all?

Get it a bit when I'm going to bed... In my head, when I'm falling asleep, I look at it like I have to get up and goto work in twenty mins.

Used to have it back in secondary school. Not really since going to college though.

Still not mad on Sunday's though.

I always hated Sunday blues. I never have them anymore though now cause A) I work most sundays and B) Im off every Monday. I have Thursday and Friday blues. :(

I used to, back in the Leaving Cert days. But college isn't too strenuous, so now I don't mind as much.

I get the blues every night before work, every morning before work, every minute in work and every evening after work, that's why I'm quitting this week, only so much being shouted at and blamed for things I didn't do that I can take.

Not a very AH answer but meh :o

I get Sunday blues every second week. Cos i work week on week off.
I was only thinking myself earlier bout how im so not looking forward to work tomorrow cos my boss is the most ignorant prick ever and i feel like killing him most of the day.. Even just thinking bout him now is getting me all worked up!!
Think i'll go eat a big bar of chocolate and calm myself down..

Anyone ever suffered from anxiety? I did a couple months back for a few days. Totally paranoid, racing heart, jittery, sick feeling and 'dread' in my stomach. Passed pretty quick thank God but if that's how a depressive feels I would rather top myself!

I used to get them in a previous job as I hated every minute of that job. In a diff job now and don't get anymore Sunday blues.

I think thats called a panic attack, I got a few one year in college, ended up having to go to hospital as I thought I was after getting a heart attack!

As for myself, yeah. I get Sunday blues every now and again. They suck. Though tonight I'm more nervous and anxious than anything as my older brother is leaving for Australia tomorrow. Major change of status quo here, he's lived at home as long as I can remember!

Not a nice feeling - thought I was going to die too! Woke up the next morning and I was brand new thank God!

Kind of. I think it's worse on Monday nights. Because on Sunday nights you're thinking " Maybe, just maybe, something exiting and miraculous will happen tomorrow and I'll have great week". But Monday night... reality hits.

Gah I hate sunday blues, get them most sundays :(.

I get the Monday to Friday morning blues, but I refuse to waste a single minute of my weekend thinking about work!
Even as I type this I'm not actually thinking about work. Denial rocks!

I think this is what I needed to hear, I am wondering whether its me or the job that creates these blues. I think its the job, Im seriously considering quitting, very irresponsible but when you spend 40 hours of the week miserable, and then add that to the sundays and even weeknights if youve had a bad day its just not worth it.

Sunday is an important part of the weekend.... after all its only 2 days long, you gotta make use of it, do something... go to the pub, get a movie and have a few beers, forget about work till you drag yourself outta bed like a zombie.

However im with M@cc@, its 9am in Melbourne....
why'd I have thoses beers last night!?!

Saturdays are more a "blue" day for me when I am home.
A crap load of work to catch up on. The phone never shaggin' stops cos word has got out I'm home.
Er' in doors wants to go shopping. Fun sometimes but with the 4 kids in tow, jeaus - get me back to work quick!
Absolute crap on the tv all day and night - I end up staring at the pc, watching a dvd film or looking at episodes of the best TV series ever made (The West Wing).

Its just the prospect of actually having to do something that you dread, we all do!

Yea I get the Sunday Blues..........since my job is gone I get them very bad! I used to look forward to the two days a week Monday and Tuesday (used to be 5 days a week up to a year ago) and since Christmas it is no more! So I guess we all get Sunday Blues for different reasons!!!!

So I would say, enjoy your Sunday Blues because, believe me, when and if and I hope NOT, you have no work to go to on Monday, you will know all about the REAL Sunday Blues........

The back-to-work-dread...ugh. I get it every Sunday without fail.
I even have to stop myself thinking about it on Saturday's or I'll start dreading the feeling of dread and waste my weekend dreading work and dreading the feeling of dread ohgodmakeitstop!!!!!
