How to stop an illicit company

How do I stop a 'company' that has long since lost their registration at the CRO but is opening up shops and offices all over the country none the less.
Criminal investigations by CRO and the Revenue haven't prevented it so far. So how do I actually go about having premises of a non legit company physically being closed down?

Criminal investigations can only be carried out by the gardai.

Lots of companies are behind in their cro returns. the cro will follow procedure to strike them off eventually and then pass the matter on to the gardai.

The revenue act fact if they think anything underhand is going on. The revenue are not stupid or easy going. If teh company is messing the revenue around, they will get shut down.

How are you sure they're not operating under a different company?

If it's a limited company that has been struck off / dissolved but continues to trade under that limited company name, then the ODCE is your best bet. Contrary to popular belief, the ODCE also chase smaller companies as well as the larger PLC's. You'll find them on www.odce.ie but before lodging a compaint, make sure you (a) have a valid reason and (b) that the company in question is not trading under a different name.

Strong likelyhood it the same people but operating under different business. The company might be behind in returns, but the individuals may own the business name.
Suggest you search cro.ie for business name. If you find them, you can get more details online by paying a few Euro.
