Thinking of travelling to Norway, Finland and Sweden for a holiday at some point, though when is another question. While I do want to see the main cities, I also would be interested in travelling further north in both Sweden and Norway to see more of the countryside. I've come across ScanRail passes on the internet which allow for unlimited travel within these countries and these seem to be the way to go, though they are expensive.
Has anyone any experience of a similar holiday? What route did you take? Where would you recommend to visit and how long do you think it would take, and will the lack of any of their languages be a problem, especially in the northern regions? Or more importantly, am I daft in trying to do them all at once and should I maybe just concentrate on one country? I'm only in the very early stage of planning this holiday so it mightn't come to anything, it's just something I've been talking about doing for a while and thought I would look into it.

    Thanks in advance :)
