    Hi I applied for my PSA license about 3 months ago and received my cover letter after applying. When should I expect my actual license?

    I completed my level 4 course and application to the psa last may and received my licence card in August, but i think the amount of time it takes can vary depending on the time of the year. I know that Fás are doing an awful lot of security courses as of late so chances are that there's a backlog at the moment.
    Your letter from the PSA is usually evidence enough for prospective employers that you're legit anyways, under new legislation i think that they have to provide you with company issued ID for use when working anyway, so all they need is your licence number

    I know the cover letter is enough and I have gotten a job out of it but I would just like to have the actual ID badge... Still haven't got it.

    Hi

    I applied in the first week of January 2010. I got a confirmation letter in mid January. It said that I can follow up the application in 60 days to see how licensing is progressing. Should I wait the full 60 days?

    Actually, how long does it take to get the PSA licence?

    I rang up and asked, they sent me out a renewed cover letter and said my license should be with me in 2 weeks... that was 4 weeks ago. Waiting over 4 and a half months now since I got the first cover letter.
