So when ye were all off on yer holidays, the Gala re opened in a newer space.

I think it's lovely. Nice and spacious now. It looks like a clothes store also now with the CIT hoodies on sale.

Finally we won't have queues for the hot chicken roles that take up the whole store.

Exciting stuff :p Finally something new in that place! It's depressing how empty it is!

Yeah you right. That place is very empty and was a waste.

As far as I know the access service has moved into student centre as well. I didn't see any of that yet.

Where exactly is it located now? Next to Fraiche cafe?

No, it's at the end of the side it was on, next to the stairs. Beside the bank.

    Hoodies?

I've only been waiting for them for the last 12 years :)

    How much?

Might make the effort to get over to the student centre so ;)

The hoodies in the Gala shop are €25 and can be purchased off the shelf.

The same type hoodies for classes/groups can be purchased in the SU office for €14 (cost price). You can get your name/class etc embroidered for slightly more and you can also pick a selection of colours. These have to be ordered in advance and takes approx 2 weeks.

Thats just Hoodie with crest (like Gala). If you want name, class, slogan etc etc on side, front & back it goes up to around €20

Fiona in SU has all prices/options

like credit for phones i suppose. even though there's a recession going on people are still too lazy to walk to the su office to get it cheaper

Unfortunately the discounted call credit has stopped. Everything in the shop is sold at/near cost price and the mobile phone companies have cut the commission to shops to little or nothing.

Credit is still available at face value if needed but other products are still on sale at discounted prices.

so *thats* why the likes of centra have been bringing in extra service charges again.

There was a time a few years back the SU shop could sell €10 credit for €8 but slowly the commission has decreased.

It varies per operator but it is only a few cent now and the SU were loosing money selling it for €9.50 at the beginning of the year.

I think the new gala shop is pretty nice. It actually has room in it now and they have an organised queuing system now too :)
