It's available in HMV for 35 Euro. I'm not sure I'll get it. The Tatsunoko characters look a bit...well...stupid.

Anyone know what price this is in gamestop? Might pay a visit and pick it up if it isn't a ridiculous price.

That's kinda putting me off too. And the lack of Resident Evil characters...

I ordered from Zavvi there, it's a bit of a bargain. Can't wait to get it. Just wish I had the money for a wii fightstick.

It's fantastic. Picked it up for from HMV (€34.99, had a token to use), well worth it. Mark, Jason (unlockable, I think) and Princess from Battle of the Planets, Ryu and Chun Li, what looks like a really angry car seat from a pimpmobile, Viewtiful Joe... Ok, the Tatsunoko characters are a bit anonymous, and at least 4 of them all fall into the forgettable "Guy in a jumpsuit wearing a helmet with a crest on the front" bracket (which doesn't sit well with V.Joe being on the roster, since he's clearly a pisstake of those guys) but still, it's great.

But you grow to love them - Yatterman, for example, appears to be a combination of Kato from the Green Hornet and Ooch from Yomega, and when he gets angry he summons a giant clockwork dog that runs riot on the screen. Sure, the character designs are a varied and a little jarring, but there's something special about playing a game where a grown man can chokeslam an 8 year old girl into the ground and you applaud him for doing it.

Control wise it's one of those quick to pick up, tough to master jobbies. Most moves are deceptively simple but unless you can get your combo mojo working and master your hyper moves, crossovers and baroque combos you're only ever chipping away at your opponents health and the matches can go on for ages. But that's a good thing - when you win the round (and it's only 1 round per bout) you usually feel like you earned it.

Frank West...Wesker...Albert Wesker? I'm just reading what I want to read again!

I think I remember seeing Battle of the Planets as a kid and really liking it. I'll probably pick this up at some stage.

for me i kind of pull off special moves relatively easy, dont know how i'm doing it, as i'm only button bashing with any iota as to what i'm doing, but its a very cool game, brilliant graphics

Finally unlocked everything in this over the weekend.
The Zero and Yatterman-2 characters are seriously kick ass and they now form my invincible team of DOOM! ;)

Opened up the shooter minigame but haven't played it yet.

Just cannot get enough of this game to be honest. Every single fight is fun fun fun and online works well every time (strange given it seems to have issues over in the States).

    My friend code is 2837-1549-1519
    Anyone wanna fight?

I'm still trying to unlock everything. My only problem with the game is that after coming from playing SF4 on a proper fightstick I get really frustrated playing this with a GC controller because it's just out and out **** for it. Still I really love the game and hopefully I can get some money together to get a fightstick soon. I'll get my friend code up for you later and hopefully can have a few games with you. I haven't used all the characters but I think Karas would be the best character if it wasn't impossible to use him without proper controls. I find the Tatsunoko characters to be on average a lot better than the capcom cast.

I've unlocked a bunch of alt colours and Frank from Dead Rising, but the struggle goes on...

The Capcom characters as a rule have to have their movesets and fighting styles compressed to fit the 3-attack button structure, where the Tatsunoko characters have been designed for it, so by rights they should feel a little more natural. Also, with a big chunk of the Tatsunoko characters looking exactly like one another (Ippatsuman, Casshan and Polimar being of the man-with-round-helmet-with-big-crest variety, and obviously the Battle Of The Planets kids being very similar) the movesets have to set them apart from eachother. I suppose the big difference is that the Capcom guys were designed to be video game characters, the fighting styles of the Tatsunoko guys is designed to convey the feel of the character from the cartoon, which I guess is going to be more fun to watch / play.

It's stupid, but I love the way they each have comments to address specific characters after the fight. When Frank West expresses his concerns about kids playing with gatling guns after beating up Megaman, it cracked me up... (In my defense I had been drinking)

Don't know where I can get a fightstick for it by any chance?

Agree 100% on the character bias towards Tatsunoko, although Zero is pretty kick ass. Have you seen all the super-top-special moves yet?
Jason (Joe the Condor) has one of the best with Mark coming in and them forming their whirlwind from the cartoon around you - very, very cool :)

I haven't even got around to using all the characters yet unfortunately :) I'll have to check them out. The only place you can get a fightstick is online it seems. Just like with the SF4 sticks no where in ireland stocked them.

Mine arrived this morning. Dying to give this a go in the build up to SSF4. Ordered on the 11th and got a email sayin it was dispatched within an hour of ordering! but it only arrived today. The stick looks really good but at £70 it seems very steep. Anyone see a different price online? Have people going to NYC this week might see if they can pick one up there

Just seems so hard to spend that on a controller! I recently got the Tekken 6 Arcade stick with the game for €60 in Smyths
