"Almost €1m worth of diamonds have been stolen during an armed robbery at a Dublin hotel."

The hotel? Why the Ballymun Travelodge. Who the **** brings €1million worth of diamonds to a Ballymun Travelodge?

    Holy ****.

Two diamond robberies, both for 1million and both in a Ballymun Hotel!

    What a coincidence!!!

but you wouldn't suspect they'd be there.

The perfect hiding place (except that it wasn't)

    Ballymun Travel Lodge?

Could that even be considered a hotel? Me thinks not.

What sort of idiot brings a million in diamonds and then stays in Ballymun...

Carrying one million around in what is an easily desposible form of liquidation, is pure stupid.
Part of me wants to say he deserved to be robbed - but no one should have to go through that experience.

At the very least, he should have at least a one/two man protection system with him even if hired for a day or two while in certain areas.
Not to do so is an open invitation for what sadly happened.

The robbers clearly knew his I.D. - where to access the diamonds - probably his route - his number of suite in the hotel, etc.
There was a lot of things he could have done but didn't. He will be grateful (hopefully) for his insurance payments he has being paying.

    From the RTE page

"Gardaí now want to know why the man brought so much jewellery to Dublin, and why he stayed in Ballymun."

    Sure why not?!
