You know those vans with a blue star on top? Is it possible to get those, and get it back to your safehouse? I have just tried about a dozen times in a row, and it seems impossible.

(Tries again) Even if one of you said that you did it, I probably wouldnt believe you!

Christ almighty! Does the driver have a super shotgun or what?

Once he gets out try getting into a nearby car and running him over :D

I have tried that, but his super shotgun set my car on fire and I end up blowing up the truck. What's really annoying is that you can't stop getting the police involved.

Is it really worth my while going after these things?

I think there's some decent stuff to be had in them that you can't buy, but I'm not.

Perhaps try to lure him away? I though I just ran him over, even if I had to get a fresh (and perhaps sturdy) car first.

It is possible. I got the driver by driving a car at him and jumping out, it either ran him over or exploded, it was hard to tell which happened first, but he didn't get up (admitedly it was more luck than skill). Alas I was then run over by a cop car and arrested so I never actually got the truck. But the point is, there was a glimmer of hope there for a second. It's worth persevering. Honest!

As fun as the game is, there are quite a number of flaws. The combat system being the worst.

While in a fast car shoot the van until there's a tiny bit of black smoke coming from it - that's usually when the driver (armed with a shotgun usually) jumps out. Then either run over the driver or shoot him. :) It's get easy with practice.
    Patience is the key.

I have tried everything. I even cheated a little by equipping my man the best I could, saving my game in a safehouse with an enclosed space and then circling the surrounding streets waiting for the van to appear. In the instances where I manage to get the van to stop, and kill the driver, I still have to contend with the police who have arrived. At this stage, I have to take the cop out, lest he arrests me, rising me to two stars. So now I have to drive the van back, which is on the verge of flames, and wedged into load of other cars, through the overly-dense traffic (another gripe) and back to the safehouse. I have decided that it ain't worth it.

    Patience my dear flamed. :)
    I just hijacked one there.

Take things slowly. Don't shoot the crap of out the van you're going to hijack, just barely damage it. Once the Van is damaged follow it slowly, you don't lose it that easily, so watch your driving and don't kill or nudge any unnecessary cops. The Van will do the work for you by damaging itself. If you're impatient (like I was) you can shoot it sporadically when you're sure there's no cops about or at least ensure you're left with only a one star wanted rating. Just be patient.

    Btw, I got an uzi.
I used the Banshee car to pursue the van.

Also, if there is a cop pursuit, just drive carefully in the middle of the dense traffic varying your speed, the cops usually take care of themselves. :D That and try to ram them against buildings/walls. (Even at crawl pace that disables them for some reason.)

it's been a while since i did it, i think i ****ed grenades at the truck until he popped out, careful you don't blow the van up. and as soon as he pops out nail him with shot gun (few times), make sure your armour and health is at max.
