I am claiming 50 % back on my medical expenses from VHI.
Can I claim any tax relief on the same expenses? Is it possible?

You can claim tax relief on the amount that VHI do not reimburse you for.
Ie if you have €100 worth of expenses and VHI reimburse you for 1/2 or €50. You can claim ta relief on the balancing €50 at 20%

    Thanks, much appreciated.
I have another one though, does anyone know if the relief can be claimed on the expenses from a chiropractor, an acupuncturist? On the revenue.ie they mentioned a physiotherapist but no mention of other occupational therapists.

Chiropractor costs can be included under the physiotherapy section but only acupuncture carried out by a doctor are meant to be included.
