Bus leaves outside the terminal into Edinburgh City Centre. Return costs around 6 pound if I remember correctly.

train to aberdeen takes 2hr 30mins and leaves frequently enough, there is one at 5.35pm, 6.15pm, 6.30pm, 7.30pm
