    Hey Guys,

Been running for around a year now and I know I shouldn't compare but I have noticed that on average that my heart rates when running with my brother are way higher...

For example I ran the Streets of Galway this summer with an average heart rate of 196 and peaking at 226 on the line..

Now when I train at around 7/10 precieved effort my bpm is around 170...(this is doing 5min Km which is a hard but comfortable pace)

Who should I goto to get checked out to make sure everything is fine? Which I'm sure it is as I grew up cycling and living quite healthily

Ignore that 226HR reading, I got a 230 last weekend at the start of a race. That is most likely the watch picking up both yours and someone elses readings in the crowd at the start and getting confused, or you just were not quite sweaty enough by that stage to have a good contact with the actual monitor strap.

Personally my HRM regularly records peaks of 210+ and there is a wide range of normal heart rates. But if you are concerned about your heart then you should talk to your doctor.
