I've a Lavor 160 pressure washer from Lidl and I've used it to strip the paint off my window cills. Grass should be no problem but the pressure needed to remove brake dust might be too much for the lacquer to withstand. I use it to lift off loose dirt and then rinse the wheels after hand washing. I'm sure it would be quiet effective on brake dust but I'm never going to use it up close enough to find out.

a good product for removing the baked on brake dust on alloys is :
Oven cleaner in a foam spray, jst spray it on and leave a whil and then rub it off with a bit of elbow grease, wheels come up new again.

There's a good chance that that would damage the lacquer over time.
