After going from a 5 day week to a 3 day week you can sign on for the 2 days you arent working.

At what rate do you get paid for the two days you arent working? I got a letter from the DofSFA and its more than I thought it would be.

    How is the figure calculated?

It would appear I am getting the full jobseekers benefit. Doesn't seem right. Tried to ring but to no avail

to be workin part time you should be receiving yellow slips from them and you should be marking what days you work and what days you dont work and handing it back into the office every week

if your working 3 days they will pay you for 3 but as has been said you will be sending in the slips from your employer stating the days you work.the personal rate is €196 per week so divide it by 6 and multiply by the numbers of days you didnt work ,this will give you a rough guide

Did you get your first cheque yet? I received a similar letter which was giving me the full alloance, but when I got my first cheque, which was backdated, it was evident that this was not the case after a calculating the sum per week. Subsequent cheques had the correct amount.

I never received another letter stating the correct amount but have kept all the cheque stubs, just in case

I did'nt have any probs with posting them...They claim they're just TOOO busy to be answering phonecalls...Once you've got all the info they require should see no prob in posting them...Unless they have stated you're to present them personally each week.....

Yes you can post them in.

And I am sure they are "TOOO" busy at the moment - you have seen the queues outside offices?
