anyone else having problems with a package from HK
via EMS?have a laser and scope on the way.tracking
number says it was picked up and is 'in transit'.it has
been 'in transit' now with nearly 2 weeks, with no
change....does it sound like a customs problem, and if
so,what do i need to do?have received a fair few items
from the store in mention, but have previously only
    used hkpost.

there was a post on px just befor christmas about the number of flights from the far east being reduced so the shipping taking a bit longer, have had a mixed result so far some stuff arriving within a week and other taking three weeks or so, mixed bag, keep an eye on www.anpost.ie some times it takes a little while for the hk site to update, might be sitting in a depot here already

yeah, have been keeping an eye on anpost too with no luck.
just seems strange that the only tracking history for the
package is collected, and in transit.no arrived at sorting
office or processing for international dispatch, and all the
usual stages that are normally seen.

I doesn't say its even left HK yet? Send an email off to whoever you ordered it off and ask them to chase it up with HK Post. From my experience post from HK seems to be back to normal now (maybe 1-2 days longer for normal airmail). No way should EMS take that long (usually leaves HK within 24 of being posted). Also give An Post a buzz on their track and trace number on the off chance its arrived and customs are playing with it.

HK Post will tell you when an EMS package has been delivered in Ireland, well at least it does for (regular air mail doesn't).

i have tried anpost with no luck
it normally tells you when it has
    left honkgkong though.thats why
im thinking its stuck in their
customs.its from a company who are
unbelievably poor at replying to emails
but im still trying them every day.

khmountain are a bunch of tossers.end of.
kept emailing them with no reply,so today i
sent them a strongly worded email 15 times
in a row to get their attention.they bought
it,and were kind enough to reply and tell me
they found out 7 days ago(they must have
been veeeery busy for the last 7 days that
they didnt have time to inform me) that ems
would not ship anything gun related to Ireland,
and i must therefore use store credit up to the
amount of the original invoice with non gun
related products.€400 is hard to spend on
non gun related products in an airsoft shop.
well to me it would be hard anyway.****
them and their store credit....itll be dispute
time via paypal 'till i get a full refund.pricks

as long as its shipped by a courier it is fine (ups/tnt/fedex) ehobby ship via ups in most cases and are well aware that ems will not ship to ireland so no problem there

They do, but with said importation ban that is supposed to be coming into place I wouldn't risk it. Most retailers will happily help you out though.

Will customs in the courier company allow it through as the law banning aeg/gbb imports was passed and supposed to come into effect this month?

Sorry, only spotted this now. I had actually posted it yesterday as a reply to your post in the 'Experiences with Retailers' thread.

It's under the 'Company Polices' link on the lhs of every page on their site:
