Work Situation and Pay related question

I work for a small privately owned company.

My question really is related to an incident that happened today (pay day). Last month, out Fin. Controller, over paid me (his error) by €105. I know its not much, but last Friday he said to me he would be taking it back off me this month. My question is, are companies within their rights to do this?

    Thanks

    Perfectly legal.

Some employers have a maximum per month deduction (unless a larger amount is agree by the employee). My own employer's maximum is €200 per fortnight.
