My girlfriend was working till June then she got a permanent job again in December. I think she overpaid tax for 2009 . What form should she fill out?

    A Form 12 from www.revenue.ie. Do a search on "form 12 2009".

Another thing she could do is ring her local PAYE section and ask them for a balancing statement. If she has overpaid tax, she will get a refund from that. Although, if there's anything else she wants to claim for e.g. bin tags or medical expenses, she would be as well to complete the tax return.

The easiest way to get an overpayment refunded in this scenario without claiming additional tax credits is to request a P21 balancing statement. They may need the request in writing.
