    Hi Everyone,

Which Maths book do you use, and do you find it good? :pac:

In a book shop they said Text and Tests is the most popular, then Concise Maths. But I want to ask all of ye so I know for sure!

(Thinking of writing a new maths book series so I need to know about the current books.)

    Edit;Ads in the sticky please.....

I use Concise maths. Find it pretty easy to understand but they have a few mistakes in the answers and one for the theorems.. The theorems we have to learn off by heart, like!

I use concise maths. However, in my class we only occasionally use it for questions: we never use it for learning (our teacher gives us notes for our hardbacks), and our questions come from sheets a lot of the time.

So generally; we (my class) don't actively use any maths book.

Our school uses Texts and Tests only too. It's alright. The examples are rubbish and you need a decent teacher to show you how to do it properly but the questions are good, especially the revision exercises at the end of every chapter because they take on the format of real exam questions with an A, B and C part.

We use concise maths and I like it, all our homework comes from that or papers but our teacher gives us notes and examples of our own which we write into our notes copy and she had handouts on the theorums, we didn't look at the book once for them!
