Series 3 is being worked on.

And a Manga that goes well past the series. You can get it in Forbidden Planet, among others.

In the latest issue of black lagoon there was a note saying the production of the 3rd season ova is going great and that there will be an update next issue. The 3rd season is supposed to be on the last arc "El Bailie De La Muerta" which ran for 33 issues.
