PS3 repairs

I haven't seen a recent thread on this, but apologies if this is one of those over-repeated topics. Does anyone know of a nice reliable place I can get my PS3 repaired in the Dublin area? The BluRay drive seems to be acting up. DVD is fine but only intermittent BluRay movie playback (once it reads it works just fine) and no PS3 games.

Does it need repair or should I try cleaning it first?

Checked out their website cause my sister's PS3 is broken. Was thrilled to see
""Is your PS3 got the yellow light of death? We can repair the motherboard €90"

    Thanks for the recommendation :)

€120 for a hdd replacement, you can get a 500gb hdd for 100, and they probably are only putting in the smallest/cheapest hdd they can fine and not a 500bg one.

I got mine fixed by SCEE when my Blu-Ray Drive crashed. It was at leat three moths out of warranty, but i didn't tell them the truth about when it broke. They knew damn well I was lying but didn't care.
I found them very nice and helpful.

Oh really? Did you tell them it should be in warranty but lost the receipt then? I have one that's out of warranty with the blu-ray of death issue and looking to get it fixed for free, is that what you recommend just telling a few little white lies and they'll take it away for free? :D
