Just wondering what the max hours a full-time student can do a week? Can't find any info on citzens information. I'm I right in saying 20 hours max during term and 30 hours outside term?

They can do as many hours as they want. Why wouldn't they be able to?

I do 27 hours a week, 3 short evening shifts, 2 long weekend shifts. My contract minimum is 15. Not very part-time but it's very doable, particularly if you have long gaps during college. And a lot more money than your average part-timer on 10 hours.

27, jaysis. I usually do around 20 hours plus 24 hours of college (I'll be narrowning that down next week when I see what classes re pointless).

    you have it easy
I did a three hour commute to college every day (there and back)
had labs/lectures about 35 hours a week plus assignments
and then worked 30 hours during term time and 50 during the summer

Ah, so it can be done. Going to college and working. Going back this year and hoping i find work. What are the best jobs for students?

The best jobs? probably the sweet in-college jobs like the library and so on. Retail is really the major option though, and can be great or awful. This is the time of year that lots of people leave their jobs and stores DO need to hire more staff but hang on for months on too little staff because the budgets and so on are awful.

Meant to say I only have 10 hours of lectures a week anyway. Hours cut to 21, store is dead..other part-timers are back to 15 though, it's that time of year. I must be special.
