Ok, well it looks like my computer has some kind of virus or something, & i don't know how to get rid of it.
I never use this one so, is there any way I can just perminantly shut it down so it's "dead", I think that'll just save all the hassel, also I'm on a serious budget
    Thanks loads in advance

PS after what happened to boards I'm terrified the same could happen with my computer!!

Hi can you post a little bit more info about what has happened to it? any type of pop ups?

Hey, thanks a lot for replying

Well, a few pop-ups came up...

    Antimalware-"unregistered copy"
This said I had loads of trojan cookies (2 high threats) & a trojan dropper (also high) & a loads of others...

some scary pop-up stuff came later, they said...

Your network attack has been rejected - your computer is being attacked from a remote host.
-attack from (a load of numbers followed)

then a pop up saying "user's activity loggers detected.
I then clicked on "remove" but it asked me for an e-mail "license" & a suitable payment method, but I felt a bit weary about this, so wasn't sure what to do.

It eventually said I have 12 strong viruses!!!

    ...what do I do?!!!!! :(:(:(

You might try the format and re-install option as briefly explained here:

formatting the pc over such a tiny problem is never the right way to go.
just do what the above poster suggested scan with malwarebytes which is free that will sort your problem out.

Thanks so much zenno for the feedback, I was having trouble about which one I should choose.
& it's such a relief to know that this is a tiny problem!!! it seemed extremely serious to me.
Anyway, I'll be doing that scan later today & I'll let you know how it turned out.:)

    Thanks again everyone!!
