Base Period Training

    Hi Guys,


    Iv been working off Joel Friels triathlon bible for the last 2 years which directs the athlete to have a long base period, I understand the purpose and importance of the base period further in the season but just wondering do many other people stick to the low heart rate training all the time, as I find it can get very boring,

    Anybody got any drills/sessions that would help change things around while still keeping to base period type training?
