RTE have launched a Fantasy 6 Nations League. I started a league if ye wanna join in.the info is below.Use your boards name if you would, that way we know whos who

throwing my team together now, my fatal flaw in fantasy rugby teams is picking players i think are good rather than guys who'll win me points. it's how i keep ending up with sergio parisse and mauro bergamasco on my teams

can someone explain to me how you only ment to pick 4 irish players?... thats sad:(... oh and the prizes suck.. 1st prize is sweet... but what exactly would i be wanting Hydra Energetic Eye Roll On for

its the main problem with these kind of fantasy sites. they reward players for being on winning teams rather than good players. I usually do the one on testrugby.com, that rewards players for broken tackles, line breaks, tackles made as well as scoring points and assists. last year parisse was one of the highest scoring players, which reflects that he was one of the best players. On the rte one or the times he doesnt do so well because Italy lose.

I just signed up for that one too to look at it. The pricing on it is completely ridiculous. O'Kelly is one of the most expensive locks!

i think its only opened from last year. The prices will change as more people make selections(I think). sexton wasnt on it yesterday and he's there today at a cheap price.

There's no designated kicker this year. Would it not be better to have 2 kickers on the team? For example Chris Paterson (at full back) and Stephen Jones (at out half)?

Very Interesting. Theres 25 teams signed up for the league and this is how people chose their out-half.

Well, I picked Jones as I feel Wilko will be a bit unreliable, O'Gara + Sexton will be varying between matches so neither will play every match (face it, it's the truth ) but Jones I think will start, play and be most consistent.

Just my thoughts though.

I'd say Jones is the safest. The French OH could change from one game to the next. ROG and Sexton will alternate a bit and England are ****.

Haven't signed up for this yet, but i've always figured with these that you're best off loading the front five with quota players (i.e. italians). No offence Thomond, but I don't see POC or Borthwick earning anything other than victory points at best

Now, having said that, I haven't looked at how this leagues actually scored

You get appearance points, with POC being a certain starter and Borthwick captain, they (bar injury) will play all 5 games.

Any of the other countries have several options for second row.

Actually, in all retrospect, Borthwicks quite possibly a genius pick - guaranteed to start, and its not like you're going to hit the limit on english players picked on your team, so tis good

I think i (and many others) might be making a mistake in not picking more of the English backline. Johnson could have stumbled upon the magic formula here. Who knows?

Just signed up - down as Blue Mac, cos too much tv's ruined my imagination..

whats the story with not picking a kicker??? if you have two players i.e. rog and patterson kicking will they both score points - doesnt seem very clear in the rules section

Pick as many kickers as you want i assume, id that idea aswell

I've gone for many kickers, parra, patterson, wilko, etc. though looks like a reshuffle for injuries. StringersWingers

Think England could do one on Wales, sneaking suspicion Flutey Tait Monye et al will light it up.

*Fluety out.... balls. Perhaps no BOD either!

just confirmed few more teams, its at 70 entrants now, jebus thats great going. Dont forget the free transfers are gone after 2day so make your final adjustments if needs be today.
