Bass player seeks rock band

    Hi
    I'm looking to hook up with /help set up a rock band, playing originals rather than covers. 35/m/living in Dublin city centre. Own gear, transport. Bands I like (this week:D) include Manic Street Preachers(not the sh1t stuff, I mean the Holy Bible), The Cult, Echo & The Bunnymen, Afghan Whigs. I also like hard rock & metal, mostly 80s/90s stuff.

    Not interested in blues rock. Like the music, hate to play it - SRV, Clapton mimicing axe-sters, look elsewhere! I am a frustrated guitar hero myself, if I'm going to play in that kind of band, it won't be playing bass!

    I'm not a flashy player, am generally happy enough to hold the bottom end down. I am reliable, & I'm looking to play with folks who are able to commit to regular practice schedules without constant drama:) and who are a good laugh as well. Cheers!

    Hi,

    I'm in a Dublin based band called Stylus and we are looking for a bass player! We have an EP out which we need to promote! Our influences include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Oasis, The Charlatans, The Stone Roses, The Raconteurs, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, The Pixies, Pink Floyd, Gomez and many more!
