Good feature in The Independent today. Makes great reading

What a character, great jockey but would try the patience of a Saint I'd say

Very good article I read it earlier.. He rode a horse into his local pub.
I laughed when I heard he sings that song when he's closing in on a front runner. Great talent though.

    Nice article.

I really admire Paul Carberry, the Carberrys were big heroes of mine growing up and working on yards. I didn't get to work as a jockey in the end but always wanted to be like him or Charlie Swan... I have to say though, if I were an owner, I don't think I'd send a horse his way so he's probably got it right on that one!

Some of those stories reminded me of an Aunt of mine who called to the Carberry home some years back during Royal Ascot meeting, and a few of them inside drinking away and watching the racing in hats and tails:pac: Great racing family and always entertaining.

Great character and he certainly isn't afraid to make a complete fool of himself.

Schooled horses at midnight a few years back just for the craic

his riding style is very stylish tho and he often annoys the **** out of me by giving horses bad rides... some man for the red bull and vodka cos i was working the night shift in a garage few years back and he bought 25 cans of red bull... but he has a serious talent inn the saddle:D:D:D
