Thats wnat i tought but i heard there you have to wait 3 -6 months before i can sign on if i leave a job without a vaild reason i.e fired or let go

Its at the discretion of the local social welfare office that you sign on at whether they make you wait the mandatory 9 weeks or not. If you have a good enough reason for leaving your job they probably won't make you wait it.
