So it seems like his co-host has been axed from the show (Lucy Kennedy) now all they need to do is axe him (Brendan O'Connor).

Does this mean that she was absolutely useless is a practice run. She (and he) should be removed from television completely.

I hate to see somebody lose a job nowadays but Lucy Kennedy is just terrible. She has a smugness that says I don't care if I'm a ****e presenter I'll just keep somebody better from doing well.

Hate Courtney more though. He has nothing going for him.

I never got Brendan O'Connor. He's sarky, but with no wit about him to balance it. Basically a bit of a smart arse. I still don't know why he was on a judging panel for a talent/singing show....

Time will tell, but I believe this will be great entertainment.....

Has this muck started, yeah?

I'm off to watch it on the player. I'm a sucker for punishment so I am!

I would imagine that they did a few rehearsals and dry runs to get the hosts into the thing, and then Lucy bombed out.. Then again she was pregnant recently I think, so that could be it too. Either way we are lucky to have dodged that bullet. The torpedo that is O'Connor is on target to hit our TV's next Saturday night, and may God help us all. It's not going to be pretty.

Oh so it hasn't started yet.

Lucy Kennedy cannot do live TV as she demonstrated with her appalling chat show so at least RTE have made the right decision there.

Starts Saturday. Mmmmm I don't know Brendan O'Connor is still presenting it, from the ad it just looks like Tub Tonight with O'Connor.

I don't think Lucy Kennedy's show was all that live.

Oh yeah it wasn't really live but I meant she can't even handle 'fake' live.

It's scripted or nothing for poor old Lucy Kennedy.

(Preferably nothing)

Those two names should never be held up as a comparison, as tenous a link as a quiff is or not.

They both presented quizcoms.

Nah he's Irelands answer to Adrian Chiles. An ugly, talentless, pug-faced goon who thinks he oozes charisma and cutting wit but in actuality his every word just makes you roll your eyes more and make you want to punch him even harder in the nuts.

Coincidentally both host their respective countries version of the Apprentice show "You're Fired". Televisions equivalent of Satan's afterbirth.

I think Adrian Chiles is quite good on tv.

Adrian Chiles is a good presenter, even if he does look like a toby jug:
Within the first few minutes Lee had described the experience of watching TV presenter Adrian Chiles as "like being stuck in the buffet car of a slow-moving train with a Toby jug that has miraculously discovered the power of speech". He then paused and added: "A talking Toby jug full of steaming hot piss"

I'm not expecting a whole lot from this show myself due to the lack of quality guests that RTE get, but don't you all think it would be fair to wait on passing an actual judgement until the show has been broadcast?

I just gave it the promo.

Guess who is taking over the Saturday night when the series ends in 8 or so weeks.
