where to buy thick foam?

    Hi all,
wondering if anyone has any advice or experience with this - i'm looking to make my own bed for as little money as possible. I like foam mattresses, find them more comfortable to sleep on (not talking memory foam, haven't tried it, just like cheap foam beds you might meet in a hostel), and so i thought this would be a pretty easy and cheap way for me to make a small double bed. i'm renting at the moment, but we've to supply our own furniture, but don't know how long i'll be here so don't want to invest in buying anything (also, can't afford to).

so i did some online searches but couldn't come up with anything that was cheaper than the cheapest spring mattresses. i assumed foam would be way cheaper? i remember my father using it to make some nice kids beds for us in our grandparents house. i know ikea have a foam mattress for about 80 euro for a double, but i was hoping to try and get something cheaper.

any advice on where to look or how much to expect to spend? thanks!

i think 80 euros is a good price, you could look at this site,
    http://www.efoam.ie/indexm.html
you can foam any size your looking for.

thanks for that. i saw that website before, but found it to be quite pricey and more specialised than i need. i'm just looking for something that will do for sleeping on for a few months, since i will likely move country again soon, not something to invest in to last years.
i keep trying to get freebies of mattresses and beds on adverts and gumtree, but they go so quickly. 80 euro is just too much for me right now, considering i have to buy materials to build the bed too.

Foam is expensive enough to buy, I've tried myself and that's not an expensive site. Matress should be cheap enough to pick up or go on jumbletown.ie and get a free one...

Edit: The free stuff section of Adverts.ie has some now i think. :-P
