there's M&D in Georges St arcade as well as the Powerscourt shoping center.
I believe there is also one located on Wicklow street too.

    Seconded. Good shop that.
There's good tea shops on Wicklow St and in the CHQ (IFSC) as well.

Hi, I see the D4 Store supplying Lilys Tea. I used to get it in Howth, super tea. They had some infuser mugs as well.

there's an amazing teapot and accessory shop beside the superquinn in blackrock, beautiful things! Also Avoca too and bodum make a great range of teapots and mugs with removable strainers :-)

    Thanks for the info!

I'll next be searching for a place that has a quality selection of loose teas with knowledgeable staff.

Again, thank you for the info!

Hi, you can also try the online Irish store www.clementandpekoe.com. I met them at the Christmas trade show last year and have bought teas etc from them online now also. CHQ shop (think already mentioned) also very good for teas & accessories. Good luck shopping. So so important to love your teapot!

Matchabar Tea in Powers Court Centre has a crazy amount of teas in it.

I've been in most of the Tea shops now, they're all super and have great Tea. But I never see a lot of business going on. Does anyone reckon they're making any money? Maybe a question for another thread??

Hi all, thanks again for the tips on tea shops. I've stopped in a few since the first post and thought I'd offer up my thoughts.
The place in George's St had a fair selection of tea, and a few teapots, but no diffusers when I stopped by. I was told it would be 2 weeks(!) before they had any diffusers in stock. Not impressed.
Matchabar in Powerscourt was a friendly place with a very knowledgeable tea master. Had a lovely cup there. Had a few accessories, but they seem geared up for selling cups of brewed tea. Sadly, the seating in the place was quite drafty so not very comfy.
The place mentioned in Blackrock center is a Bewley's shop. Fine if you are looking for fancy and expensive pots, cups, etc. but not the kind of place I was hoping for. More of a gift shop than anything.
Avoca did have a few nice teapots with diffusers, including a clever travel mug with diffuser.
The House of Tea in CHQ at IFSC was a fine shop with wonderfully served teas. Good selection. Nice assortment of teapots, serveware, etc.
My favorite so far in my search is not on the southside at all, but near Mater Hospital in the northside. The shop is called Flower Power and I noticed it by chance in the area. They have many dozen teas in stock and an assortment of infuser pots, etc. and reasonably knowledgeable and very helpful staff. A few seating alcoves provide for a true relaxing tea experience.
I've just yesterday been told of one more shop I'd like to check out. It's supposed to be a little place along the liffey just near Capel St. Not sure of the name. I'll post an update after I've had a chance to check it out.
