I listened to his interview with Ray bates. Seems like Pat was more concerned on the audience hearing his pet theories than letting the expert talk. Ray Bates probably knows more about weather and climate than anyone in the country. But Pat...ah, Pat.

I dropped my toast into my tea when I read just now that someone thinks Ray bates knows more about weather and climate than anyone in the country!

I can name at least a dozen people here, on boards, who might claim that accolade and, were it not for my well known modesty, might make a claim for myself too!

    Tish tosh!

I have to admit that I really want to see the names for this one.

    HaHa funny man.

So my question for you is this:
After you dredged your tea for the wet toast, did the butter leave an oily residue in the tea, and how did that render the flavour?

Of course, the toast did not change temperature when it was dropped in the tea. Obviously, since it had been toasted earlier, the heat came from the toaster.

Also several scientists working in the field of tea making disagree that tea can change the temperature of things dipped into it(including human fingers into boiling hot tea). A further 97% disagree, but their opinion is not worth noting as they were bribed with Hobnobs.

But isn't that Pat most of the time? The only times he doesn't get away with it are when the interviewee knows his style and can handle him.

Indeed, he was the same on the issue of 30km/h zone.

He was actually strikingly aggressive towards a councillor for 30km/h, while agreeing with the other side of the argument, see here: COSAIN Letter to Pat Kenny on 30 kph Zone

What a terriffic letter. They'll have to take that seriously. Fair play to them for taking the time to so thoroughly analyse his discourse.

Pat's a big influence on public opinion. Many people see him as the voice of reason and balance, which he's not at all.
