    Hi All,

    Just ringing around for materials for the house, be looking for apx. 8000 4" blocks and just wondering what kind of prices you've all been getting per block?

    Have been quoted 450+VAT/1000 by McGraths in Limerick. Also, have a couple of other quotes in around the 450-470 mark.

    blocks generally cost between 500-600 euro per thousand inc vat. they have not risen much in price in the last 10 years.
    your going to need L blocks ,soap bars, stock bricks and cavity closers as well and these are more expensive because they are not made in the same quantities.
    the best thing to do is to bargain because quarries will be keen to sell at the moment.

    Hi I'm getting priced at 40 euro a hundred. Cash price for 4 inch blocks and 59 euro a hundred for 12 inch blocks.
    Donegal is probably alot cheaper than the rest of the country.
