Trying to lose weight at the mo. Doing cardio/weights and just cleaning up the diet at the mo. Its a calorie restricted diet of 1800cals at the mo.

Basically im short bout 600-800cals at the mo and was wondering if people could suggest any ideas to bump it up at bit, preferably not high in carbs.

This is my diet at the mo.

Meal 1- 80g Porridge Oats, 250 low fat Milk, Green tea, 20g Linseeds(getting flaxseeds soon)

    Meal 2- 50g Cashew Nuts,

    Meal 3 - 100g grapes

    Meal 3- Chicken, brocolli, cauliflower.

Meal 4 - ????????? (this is the one i need help with)

    Meal 5 - P/WO Banana

Thinking of adding in protein shake too, which would help.

I don't like meal three as it stands. Why not have a tub of cottage cheese there, and eat the grapes pre-workout? After your workout, have a protein shake.

You don't want a heavy meal before a workout, so a small portion of fruit would be fine.

I'm a bit confused. Is the chicken your lunch or your dinner?

You could easily add in a fish or steak meal somewhere there.

    What time is your workout?

Ya i should rejig it around a bit i guess. Il try the cottage cheese alright. My training is at 8pm. Home for 10pm.

The chicken would be dinner at around 5, but i could have the grapes then, and have the chicken for lunch ?

Not nearly enough protein in there, really you should be having some at every meal.
