I'm about to book a flight to asia. the flight leaves Heathrow, I'll be getting a flight from Dublin to Hesthrow. Is there any way I can get my bag transferred to the connecting flight in Heathrow airport?

You need to book the flight from Dublin, not London. Who are you planning on flying with from Heathrow ?

If it's a through tkt ( ie one tkt ) chances are the bags will be checked right through . Indeed you may even get boarding passes for the connecting flight(s)

Which carrier are you talking here ?

It will be Aer Lingus to Heathrow and then Emirates from there.

I can't book Emirates from Dublin.

Then no. Aer Lingus won't check bags through unless it's on the one ticket (and/or you get a very generous agent who ignores the rules, but I wouldn't be putting money on that).

You're stumped methinks. Make sure to leave enough time to get through Heathrow...it takes long enough without having to collect luggage.

Edit/ if you book through the likes of www.kayak.com they'll give you a price for a ticket from Dublin and you'll be able to check bags through as it's one ticket.
