Yes, this is early but it's the last Raw before the Rumble. The Guest Hosts are James Roday and Dule Hill, stars of "Psych" on the USA network.

    On Bret Hart,
Although he was originally scheduled to make an appearance on Raw this past Monday night in Knoxville, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE decided to move Bret Hart's return to a week later for this Monday (January 25) in Columbus, OH. It is still possible they could change their minds again between now and Monday, but that was the plan as of a few days ago. If he doesn't appear on Raw this Monday then an appearance at the Royal Rumble PPV would be likely.

All streams for this should probably go into the stream thread

I like Psych so looking forward to these two as guest hosts and hopefully Bret will also be there.

I expect some interaction between Cena and the guest hosts since he was on Psych

If they're clever Bret wont be there. This show should be ALL about the Rumble. So I expect Bret will be there and feature heavily.

They need Bret back this week while he is still relevent. Actually it should have been 2 weeks ago. Even better they should have him enter the Rumble and win it :p

the rumble is a joke this year as is nothing they can do will save the terrible promotion for this year just give us bret and continue the way they were it's to late

Psych's James Roday will not be appearing on RAW tonight.

On Saturday he had to undergo an appendectomy, and will not be able to work tonight's show. His co-host Dule Hill will still appear and host the show solo.

Vinnie Mac is definately getting crazier by the RAW, and that guy in the "Damn" t-shirt was brilliant. "Better than that orange crap you wear" way to sell the merch vince!

I'm liking this Raw enough so far not to get annoyed at Big Show v MVP spoiling all the good work done by The Miz in his promo the other week.

Third week without Bret. They could have at least pre recorded something.

It's far from perfect but I'd rather watch this than the dinosaurs that are "The Band" (worst name ever) doing the same stuff they were doing 10-15 years ago. I mean come on did you see The Nasty Boys

I thought that was a decent effort from Cena and SOS.

honestly didn't see that  thought Cena retribution ultimately. 'fair n square'

never not consider viper intervention - particularly as he's in the fold w/ the pair of em now. dammit he's gonna get big shay's title

*sigh* would have been a good ending to set up the title match at RR except of course Super Cena has to come out on top. Does this mean that Seamus is a pseudo-face going into the title match?

Nasty Boys r alright man.. TNA has a good angle past few wks w/ proper legends. bar razor ramon - but you can have a beer there too - gets my vote but i think theyre using fake crowd cheers on impact. which is well sad - listen for it next time

yeah what ya reckon he's the most hated guy in the thing, twat WWE crowd. 'sheamus is pure evil' 'i hate this guys voice' got boo'd to crap even more than orton in their encounter last week - he's only TNA's equivalent of 'lovable rogue' ffs.

the Rocketman hostin next week to brighten things up anyhow

exactly, if he wasnmt going to appear, they should have had somethiong and not vince just going "awww ok he can come back" after mega cena spoke to him! Just makes bret look weak.....everything is on vince's terms and we just have to swallow it!

its not, if im being honest id rather see 2 divas matchs then "the band", the nasty boys, the good talent being squashed, the unprotected head chair shots, and the "orlando screwjob" which even ended with
angle apologising and shaking hogans hand....wtf?!
    now THATS nonsence!

They still have the unprotected head shots on tna? I know it sounds bad but that reminds me off the good old days in the wwf. WWE is a pile of ****e now if im honest and I was planning on watching it with Bret Hart back but I hate this cena superduperhero ****e, the kiddie dx **** with the dwarf and basically everything at the minute with the whole thing. Read what the rock said recently about his return and he sums up everything that I miss about wrestling and what I hate now. Also mentions he doesnt want to wrestle John Cena :D

I don't know why. Cena is well over and probably a better wrestler than The Rock.

However if The Rock came back (as a wrestler which I highly doubt) then I would love to see a feud between him and Shawn Michaels.

    Are you for real?

Raw was logically and sensibly booked and enhanced feuds leading in to the Royal Rumble.

TNA on the other hand is still a complete cluster**** with very few clearly defined feuds and some of the worst "talent" possible getting significant airtime and being put over at the expense of younger guys who TNA should be focusing on.

Good all round show I thought. Strong guest host, McMahon didn't over shadow him too much. #It's a shameful thing... that the champion is back to being the footiest footnote to ever footnote though.

Plus WWE is building up to Simpsons PG after all: "damn" and "jackass". Now if they could just stop saying "the Royal Rumble event" so much.

Hey man I respect your opinion and where you're coming from, I think universally every wrestling fan want TNA to raise there game to make the business as a whole better, but wishful thinking does not equally a better product, I was hugelly excited about wrestling for Raw v TNA for the first time in a long time but my excitment has quickly disappated given the results of the tapings for the next 3 weeks. Hogan talks a good game, and if he implemented what he said, i.e. bring vets in to give the rub to up & comers, and everything else he says, TNA would be a must watch show, as it is for the next month, it is no where near that

Why involve Cena in Bret Hart's return and also Sheamus/Orton feud?

I expected HBK to throw HHH out of the ring this week

Yes. Did you? DX was always childish. Even the dx official dvd release of the time says on the back cover "kids put your parents to bed". You should watch it. I bet you cringe with embarresment.

it was childish but it was certainly not PG, didyuo see the press conference they did years ago, promising not to swear even though it was full of expletives and sexual references!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 758 ✭✭✭davrho

I dont think any 14 year old kid would be shocked by that press conference. All the swears beeped out too. They would hear worse at school.

I wont get into a debate but being born in 72 i have a different take on a lot of the goings on of that era. Maybe giving Cole wedgies every episode and the right childish stuff they got up to most weeks have tainted my opinion. If they were still doing that today i would go for the remote faster than when i hear "hornswoggles on next"
