    Hey,

Just looking for a bit of info on accountancy work in London. I'm taking ACCA exams full-time at the moment and hope to have F1-9 completed by June. I have no work experience in accountancy though and I was just wondering if anyone out there might have some advice for someone looking to get a start in London?? Any, and all suggestions very welcome!!

I would suggest signing up with an agency e.g. Hays and try to secure an entry level temp position in financial services.

I work in a financial planning and analysis group (back office) in an investment bank in London and imo temping is your best bet to get a foot in the door with your background.

What is the likelihood of getting my tuition paid if I was to go down this route?

Have a look at graduate programs on prospects.ac.uk (.co.uk?)

These are broadly good and they might look favourably on you since you have already started your exams.

To get into a regular job where you get time off to study and your tuition paid you would probably need some accounting experience which is where the temping / contracting comes in.

I did a graduate program in the Thames Valley and lived and studied in London.
    I would recommend it highly.
