I know this is going to sound really bad, but how do I adjust the hop up on my Cybergun M4A1 CQBR?

    Any help would be appreciated

pull back the charging handle and it will open the bolt cover behind that there wil be a wheel just turn to adjust

Thank you. Could i ask another stupid question, like what turning it each way will do?

Can't be sure it will be the same on your AEG but on my G&G turning clockwise increases hop-up, anti-clockwise reduces hop-up

It'll decrease/increase the range basically. Thats what the hop-up is there for to add back spin to the bb which in turn adds range.

    Thanks for the info.

Just be careful not to put too much hopup on. If you have it on full, for bb weights we generally use your bbs will be up in the sky but it damage and deform the internal barrel over time so just apply what you need to get the most range while keeping a fairly level shooting line.

Well, what is the range I should be gettuign from the gun? At the moment, I can hit an apple form 20-25 metres, but I cant hit a bin form 40, so what should I be getting

Did you adjust your hop up at all when you were shooting at 40 m?

No. I didn't have a cluie about the hop up adjusting thingy before this thread. I knew it could be done, i just didn't know how. And I haven't changed anything today because with the REALLY dense fog i figured the shots would be messed up. I plan on fiddling with it on a nice clear day.

But to ansewer your question, no I did not adjust the hop up

    It might just be mine.

On the wheel there is an arrow, turning the wheel in the direction of the arrow will apply more hop.
