I have two queries, and would appreciate any advice anyone could give me.

Firstly I want to set up my laptop so that when an external mouse is connected, the trackpad is disabled. I have googled this and there are many people advising how to do this, but I dont seem to have the same drivers or options with my drivers to do this.

Also my laptop has a fingerprint reader for log in, but I cant find any drivers or information on how to set this up.

    Any help would be appreciated.

When you say trackpad you mean the little rubber button between the keys, or the big touchpad?
In control panel/Mouse look around until you find the driver for the touchpad.
What version is it? Mine is an Alps 7.1.101.6.
