this is a welcome addition, they show a fair bit of sport on a Saturday, and of course Conan (soon to be Leno) on weeknights :)

Do you mean freesat from sky? I cant see it on my Humax Freesat box - not in freesat mode anyway

I noticed this last week, I hope it does stay FTA.

    That's their plan it seems:

“Our decision to become a free-to-air channel in the UK is part of our strategy to aggressively grow our distribution across EMEA in 2010,” said a CNBC spokesperson. “Businesses receiving the channel and re-distributing it to multiple users are still required to have a viewing licence from CNBC.”

The spokesperson added that no decision had been taken on whether CNBC would itself join Freesat.

Great stuff...this channel is a good addition to FTA. They were starting to lose out to Bloomberg I'd say who went this way a couple of years back.

How do you tune it in?? Does anyone have a link with a list of the channels and the freq needed to tune them in??

CNBC Drama is showing Dynasty - brilliant in a really tacky US soap way. Cant' believe 30 years ago I thought this was good entertainment.

    That's CBS Drama.

Wonder why it doesn't work on the Grundig family of freesat boxes?

I'm ture there is a sensible tech reason but here is my two cents on this...

This has been an issue for other channels with the Grundig boxes. There was a similar issue about 12 months ago with some of the music channels. I think FEC is restricted on the Grundig, which may be part of the reason.

Tuned it in in fta mode on the Humax. Tried freesat but couldn't find it.

The FEC on the Harvard boxes (Grundig, Goodmans, Bush) is not user changeable, but is automatically changed when scanning. I have mine connected to a motorised dish and it manages to tune in different channels with different FECS.

The last time something like this happened, the channel was launched shortly after on Freesat, so perhaps that is what is going to happen. It would appear to me that it is an EPG issue.....

Good point I have noticed that channels tuned in manually in non-freesat mode on the grundig can cause problems if that channel then joins the Freesat EPG. For instance back when Five joined Freesat it never appeared on the EPG on a Grundig SD box that I was using, so I had to do a factory reset to fix that.

On the Grundig boxes you can move between the freesat and non-freesat modes very easily, which has me wondering if there is really much of a division between the freesat and non-freesat menus on these boxes

Conan has left the today show. Will the channel be worth watching now?

Today show as in NBC Breakfast program or show today? I never liked Conan any ways, he was as funny as a sore backside, Jay was much better.

He has left Nbc alltogether after replacing Leno 7 months ago on the Show

I think daveyboynire was more referring to the fact that Conan used to present the Tonight show, not the Today show, as you said.
