is it normal to want to go out with someone else you really fancy pretty much straight after breaking up with someone or should you wait a little while to sort yourself out?

Everyone is different, if you feel you want to pursue something else soon after a break-up my advice is to go for it.

Bear in mind though you run every chance of being burned right now, if you're just out of a break-up you're going to be acutely sensitive to pretty much everything, and a little vulnerable.

But like I said I'd go for it anyway ;)
