I'm surrounded by 'Muricans' (Those who would bend over for the united states) who are constantly telling me that "MURICA #1 LOLOLOL".

I hate these people. I just wanted to know if anybody else is like me where they'd be willing to leave their country if they had/wanted to. I'd move out of the United States in a heartbeat. Not because there's some place I prefer, it's just the United States is awfully bland, and the rest of the world is so much more wonderful. My stepdad is hell bent on me joining the military and having me be a scientist and develop new ways to fight China when we eventually have to.

I told him "Screw that, I'd rather work in Ireland, they seem to be inventing all the cool stuff over there!"

then he went into an anti-liberal rant about how we're a democracy, and that this country is supposed to be conservative (both of those statements being wrong) and that i should lay down my life for the united states and that i'll get my reward in heaven.

I just walked away thinking "Ok, thanks Hannity!"

    So ah, what's your philosophy?

    Nationalism v. cosmopolitanism?

Cosmopolitanism....that word makes me want to beat my generation over the head with a crowbar and send them off to war...myself included.

Stubborn libertarian, proud American here. I see nothing wrong with a deep-seated love of my country, because something is very wrong if I'd rather be somewhere else. Thankfully, I'm happy here.

As for the Confederate flag...I detest your views and they can burn in hell, but I will fight to the death for your right to express them.
