waiting on jobs seekers?

    signed onto the job seekers allowance last sep,i was told i would have to wait around 12 weeks to see if i get it.it has come to 14 weeks and i havent heard anything from them.i was recently remined about signing onto fas as well, has this something to do with it??that i havent signed onto fas??

    All claimants for jobseekers allowance and benefit have to be registered with FAS. Its part of the condition of entitlement.

    While you are claiming you will have to attend FAS intermittently and show the efforts you have made to find employment. That would be copies of job application letters, application forms, and letters of outcomes. They may also look at training and education. So, my advice is register with your local FAS office immediately.

    Also, contact the office where you sign on to find out how much longer its going to take to process your application once you signed on with FAS.
