As above, what would be your opinion of, or the best Tail Fin design on a Commercial Aircraft that you have seen?
This is inspired by a conversation on another site:

South African Airways does it for me:

Ryanair announce new logo to better reflect company values
Ryanair have today launched their new corporate logo that will be painted on the fins of all of their jet aircraft.
The no-thrills airline hired a top Dublin based branding consultancy to come up with the design and are rumored to have
spent in the region of £5 (plus credit card fees) on it.
Stephen McNamara, Ryanair PR rep, commented: “I had to bend over for about an hour and half with Micky on top
so the bloody agency could get the angle right, but we think it looks great and really shows off our corporate values”..

You know I actually agreed with Thatcher about them. At the time BA were the flag carrier of the UK , these tail designs showed no national identity ( that was instantly recognisable anyway ) . I hated them

I really liked them. By the time they were introduced, Thatcher was long gone with only her senility to keep her company and BA was a private company, owned by its shareholders. The different designs underlined the various countries and cultures that BA serves. The big use of the word "British" up the side has plenty of National Identity as well as the red and blue flash.

There were some EI planes prior to privatisation which dropped the shamrock on the tail for the web address. I'd like to think that the Aer Lingus name alone reinforced the national identity.

I think that was the idea.

Maybe I am just a little old fashioned.

At the time I was a regular ' spotter ' , so I hated them at first because they were a distraction , what I mean was , sitting at the cabbage patch at LHR you tuned the BA flights out ( you had seen them all ) , but the tail designs made you look again .

I am racking my brain here trying to think of a tail design I have seen that interests me ...
