questions about the Carnival and a (possible) major story goof?? **Spoilers Abound**

    Hi,

I have a few questions about the Seaon Three finale and the Season Four opening episode.

First, Season Four - a minor, rather petty question really - but was the Sullivan Carnival that Hiro, his sister and Ando attended 14 years ago in Japan or the US??

If I recall correctly there was Japanese signs in the background - which means that the carnival left the US. Wouldn't that be unusual?? Don't they tend to stay in the US, whereas a circus would go abroad?

As to Season Three - Why didn't Angela and Bennett just give Nathan a transfusion of Claire's blood?? That brought Bennett back from the dead in Season Two. Did something happen since then that removed that as an option??

The carnival seems to move around, magic-style. Japan could be a posibility.

Wasn't Claire away somewhere at the end of season 3?

I'll accept a magic carnival :) I know it's all make believe, but I was just wondering :)

Yes, Claire was downstairs with Peter (though niether Angela or Bennett knew they were still in the building), but Angela jumped to transforming Sylar immediately without any attempt to locate her or explanation why they weren't going to use her blood. A simple statement that Nathan was dead longer than Bennett was when Suresh revived him in season two would have been acceptable, but the writers just fudged the whole thing again. :(

Yep, the carnival does move and disappear magically (as was seen last week).

The writers never said anything in episode about the Nathan thing but, in an interview, stated that with the resources of the company and already having a supply of Claire's blood on hand, they were able to get to Noah 'fast enough', whereas with Nathan, they would have needed a drip etc and Claire's blood on-hand and they simply didn't have time to acquire the necessary stuff to get to him 'in time'...

The Carnival was in Japan, as pointed out when Hiro went back in time to set up his sister and Ando.

Ink girl said that Hiro had visted the carnival before.

The Nathan thing should have been explained on screen though. It is a pretty major plothole.

As to the carnival, I didn't realise Goodshape was being serious about it magically moving from place to place. :o Sorry man.

That is the carnival explained but Nathan dying without explanation is just cat. :(

Who or what causes the carnival to move/disappear again??

I had originally thought it was Arnold, displaying an evolved form of Hiro's teleportation power, but he's dead now... Hmm.

I think, in reality, they were just trying to kinda pretend that whole buzz from season 2 never happened....

Good question. One of the carnies we've yet to see, I'm sure...
