    I only have rte1,rte2,tv3 and tg4!:(
Can I ring someone to install a dish that wil pick up utv,bbc etc?
How much does this cost? How many channels can you get?And can you get it to work in all rooms?
    Thanks.:)

A BBC family/ITV family/C4 faimily FTV set up can be your for less than 200 notes, quite a bit less if you can DIY it and source the dish/receiver on the used market.

Check Lyngsat.com and choose 28.2E (as this is where all BBC's are located). Here you will see all encrypted as well as Free channels... :)

    1, Yes
2, about €200 ish but you can spend more
3, over 100 (lots are rubbish though) bbc1,2,3,4, itv1,2,3,4, ch4,ch5, would be the main ones
4, depends on how much you want to spend.

Stickies have a list of installers, or you could have a look at isaa

Two options are available Freesat or Free-to-Air (FTA)

    Channels: Freesat, FTA

The 4 Irish channels are not available in either of these two options so you will still require an aerial.

Each room will require a seperate receiver wired back to your dish.
If you wish to watch and record two seperate channels a PVR receiver will be required with two cables to the dish from each receiver.

Go to satellite.ie you'll get a DIY dish for 98 euros with 25 metres of cable , a satfinder that will get you all the channels you need plus they have video explaining everything to you. You could then use a digisender to sent the picture wireless around your home If after that you still think you can't do it. Then when you place your order asked them to install it for you
