GPS/HRM software

I gave into my inner nerd and got a garmin gps/hrm jobbie. The garmin website seems pretty good for tracking the data they log, but the application you can install on your computer isn't great at all.

I tried 'sports tracks' as an alternative, but I'm curious what websites/software people would recommend (Ideally would run on a mac, but I can do windows too ;)).

On a similar topic I've toyed with using something like the trainingpeaks website for a log/plan, but I'm not willing to fork out any cash till I get to try something for a week or two--and the functionality of their free accounts seems a bit limited. Anyone use that or similar sites?

I love my garmin and I love reviewing my historic data to see whether I am improving or not(nerd also). I found that the garmin training centre takes a bit of getting used to but is very useful once you do. If you could be more specific in terms of your difficulties I might be able to help. It might just be that you havent configured it fully yet. For instance if you have Google earth installed on your computer you can opt to view your run on a full satelite map rather than the crappy map included on training centre.
